The project was created by Research Department together with Institute of journalism of Taras Shevchenko national university of Kyiv.
The main mission of this art-project is to attract attention of the average citizen to the scale of Ukrainian scientific achievements, using simple language and emphasizing the usefulness of this discovers. The creators were trying to adapt complicated and sometimes incomprehensible scientific text in an easy and intelligible way.
Format of exhibition
The exhibition now has about 30 exhibits, which contain poster and description to each of them.
Posters presented in art format in order to visually draw attention to scientific achievements through visual art. Creators refused from the usual infographic visualization, which would simply explain the principle of inventions or scientific developments. Instead, we chose to focus on coding of metaphorical images, associations, visual and semantic messages. In our opinion, that will attract more attention of different target audiences.

From the other hand, we work through all the complicated scientific texts and created short and simple description to each work. Description explains how the invention or discovers work and why do we need it. All the description comes with the qr-codes. It also adds some sort of interactivity, because in addition to the visual arts, the visitor needs to understand the information message and learn the essence of the scientific development.
The exhibition is presented in Maksimovich’s library now. Also we have a web-site, which is in the process of development now, but you can see all the exhibits there.
What’s next?
The naming of the project reflects its two main missions: 1) to tell about science and scientific achievements simply and accessible so that everyone could understand their meaning; 2) in this project we plan to tell about one hundred scientific discoveries of the university scientific community, and launch a large-scale popularization campaign of the Ukrainian science and scientific achievements of the University in particular.
